Holy Sit: Emily Hine

Emily Hine

My name is Emily HIne and my mission is to help myself and others wake up spiritually, achieve optimum health and find inner peace and compassion in a chaotic world.

For the last twenty-five years, I have been creating compelling marketing and fundraising campaigns that have raised over $150 million for charitable organizations. Throughout that time, I also realized how spiritual signs were guiding my life, both personally and professionally. When I followed the signs, they led me to remarkable professional and spiritual opportunities like working at Microsoft with Bill Gates, lobbying in Washington D.C. for the Department of Peace, and working with the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu to expand the global compassion movement.

After a cancer diagnosis in 2011, I took the ultimate leap of faith and followed the spiritual guidance I received to turn down traditional treatment. Within four months, I was healed from stage II uterine cancer without surgery, radiation or chemotherapy. After that miraculous experience, and many others I realized that my own inner peace mattered as much or more than the big projects upon which I was privileged to work. As such, I have now dedicated my life to increasing peace and compassion on the planet for the benefit of all human beings. I do this in four ways:

1.    Inspirational Writing: Through writing Holy Sit
I share sneak previews of my forthcoming book about the journey healing naturally from cancer. Additionally, I host an inspirational Facebook page, to help others who might be like I was - externally functioning in the world, but internally suffering from cancer, depression, repressed trauma or isolation. I thoroughly enjoy being an inspirational writer and helping fellow Holy Sitters on this journey.

2.    Teaching: I facilitate a Peace Ambassador Training - a 12-week online training program that covers topics from inner peace to international peacebuilding. Our next training is January 13, 2016 and we provide scholarships for youth and for people from developing countries. I also teach Compassion Cultivation Training to help those who want to develop the qualities of empathy and kindness for self and for others. I am
a Certified Compassion Cultivation Training™ Teacher from the Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education, Stanford University (CCARE). Please contact me if you'd like to bring Compassion Cultivation Training to your group or business.

3.    Coaching and Public Speaking: I provide individual 1:1 coaching for people newly diagnosed with cancer or for those who are struggling with depression. I also give keynotes about health, inner peace and compassion to large and small groups and can tailor a presentation to meet your needs. If you are interested in 1:1 coaching or bringing me to your group for an inspirational presentation, please contact me.

4.    Finally, I partner with businesses and nonprofits that share the goal of increasing mindfulness, consciousness, compassion and peace on the planet. For more information on past clients and how to work with me, please visit HineSight Consulting.

My motivation is this:
  • I truly believe inner peace is the path to world peace.
  • Peaceful people don’t start wars - not with their bodies, not with their partners, families, classmates or co-workers and not across borders.
  • The tools to create a more peaceful planet exist today and I share many of them in Holy Sit
  • My vision is a world where every person has access to the tools to live a more peaceful, compassionate life.
In today’s chaotic world, holding this kind of vision is challenging, but not impossible. We are on this journey of life together and it is only together that we can change and improve this life.

Wishing you much love, peace and compassion!
