Holy Sit: Resources

Resources

If you or a loved one are facing a cancer diagnosis, please know that you are not alone. In 2012, there were 14.1 million new cancer cases and 32.6 million people living with cancer worldwide. In addition, more than 350 million people worldwide, suffer from depression. (Source: World Health Organization). Some people, like me, have suffered from both cancer and depression and I do my best to address both issues in my sample chapters.

That said, everyone's healing path is as unique as the individual. What worked for me, may or may not resonate for you. I recommend reading and researching as much as you can and choosing healing modalities that are in alignment with your values and your body's intuition. Also, be particular about who is on your healing team.

Below are just a few of the resources that I found helpful in my research about how to heal from cancer naturally. May it guide you in some way.

HOLY SIT CHAPTERS
While every Holy Sit chapter chronicles part of my healing journey, here are a handful of chapters that point out specific things I did to heal.
And, here is a special chapter I wrote about Suicide and Depression that might help you or someone you love.

MY DOCTOR
I worked with Dr. Connealy who runs the Center for New Medicine in Irvine, California. Within the same facility, she also hosts the Cancer Center for Healing, an alternative cancer treatment center that specializes in combining conventional cancer therapies with alternative cancer treatments customized for each patient.

DETOXIFICATION FACILITIES
A common theme that came up over and over again in my research was to detox the body fully so that it is better able to heal itself. The lower the toxic load your body carries, the easier it is to heal. I found it very helpful to go to a facility where I was fully supported with food, education and exercise programs. Here are a handful of options for detox facilities:

INSPIRATION/MIRACLES
In October 2011, a friend sent me a link to an interview about Dr. Wayne Dyer's spiritual surgery with John of God that healed Wayne from leukemia. I watched the full interview and then read Anita Moorjani's story about her near death experience. A few days later, my own spiritual surgery occurred. I believe it's important that we realize these kinds of miracles are possible and when we read or hear about such stories, something in our subconscious opens up to the possibility of miracles occurring for us as well. So, watch, read and open up your own mind to the possibilities for miracles. Dr. Dyer's story was aired on Oprah's Super Soul Sunday; below are two 4-minute videos that summarize the experience and one longer interview between Wayne and Lilou Mace that goes more in depth into how he was healed from leukemia. Although Dr. Dyer passed away peacefully in 2015, there was no evidence of leukemia in his body.
This list is by no means extensive. Do your own research and if something comes up for you over and over again, it might be a sign to follow that path.

Wishing you peace, guidance and courage on your own healing journey. You are not alone.
